Meet the Team
We are a group of 4B Mechatronics Engineering students at the University of Waterloo with a diverse skillset. We have divided the project responsibilities based on the mechanical, hardware, and software components of the project.
Product Manager / Mechanical Designer
Richard Li
Richard is responsible for design and development of the mechanical sub-systems and mechanisms. He also acted as the PM of the team for efficient management, and coordination of team efforts to ensure self-imposed and course deadlines were met.
Mechanical Designer
Kevin Jimenez
Kevin is responsible for the mechanical modelling of the design and production of the engineering drawings. He also sourced suppliers for the mechanical components and works closely with the hardware designer for placement of the electronics.
Hardware Designer
Alejandro Haro
Alejandro is responsible for hardware development and integration. He is in charge of the embedded software component of the project and the user application

Software Developer
Ronny Paredes
Ronny is in charge of designing Lock-ED's software infrastructure. He is in charge of the system architecture, backend, and admin tools.
